Are you scared of commitment?
Are you in a relationship and scared of taking the next step and settling down?
If you are someone who loves your partner, but is just happy with the way things are, then you need to read this one from Mr Gayle.
Duffy is a late 20-something who loves his girlfriend Mel. They have been together for 4 years, but she wants more from what he is willing to give. He loves his bachelor lifestyle, of pizza, beers, football and trying to break it as a stand-up comedian.
Mel however wants wedding bells, a baby and a family.
This is a book about finding ?The One?. It?s about Sundays in Ikea. It?s about seeing your friends settle down while you feel left behind. It?s about learning to love someone, despite their faults. Relationships are not perfect, after all.
What I enjoyed most about ?Mr Commitment?, was the way in which Mike lets himself be swayed by his flatmate Dan, who?counsels him to retain The Ways of the Bachelor. When Duffy sees Mel embracing her ex, warning bells start sounding.
Just what has he given up?
Why did he push this perfect woman away?
Can he win her back?

Unfortunately this isn?t the best Mike Gayle book I have read, but it is certainly one I could relate to. I?ve not had a relationship for a while now, as you know, but I have recently met a woman who I like.
Lots.
I don?t want to lose her. But I have a problem with trust after being so royally shafted time and time again and don?t know if I can learn to love again.
But hey! Life is good! I hope things go well with this lovely lady, because she is fantastic and I feel like I have known her for years.
She is amazing.
But can I be Mr Commitment?
I hope so??
